Douglas does it again

This faerie tale picture is of a real place. That's not a set for a movie, or made up. It's the Rose Gardens at Washington Park in Portland, Oregon, in the crazy Christmastime snow we've just had. Douglas Bienert got the most amazing photos of the city during the first wave of snow. Lots of memories of that park are part of me - of my psyche - my husband proposed to me up there, for one thing - and my very bones know how the park smells and feels and what the light looks like in all seasons and all hours of the day and night, but I have never seen her look like this.
