"In argument similes are like songs in love; they describe much, but prove nothing."(mumble, mumble, gripe, gripe) He's right. But for me, the simile - exactly the right one - it's like a focusing lens and a clarifying tool. I love the right simile. It explains everything to me. It proves everything to me.
But then ... I like a good song in love too.
